I did not see anything that justified a 3D version. And as you could tell, it irritated me that I ended up spending the money. It has been a long tradition but after 9/11 I remember feeling extremely uncomfortable watching Armageddon and seeing NYC get clobbered. Context changes things. Man of Steel had the same effect on me. Revisiting the 1954 film sounds like a good idea.Richard Kirkhamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16428986542891346618noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3724453628120151835.post-26425647233253077512014-05-21T17:23:27.180-05:002014-05-21T17:23:27.180-05:00Fine review, Richard. When I go back to see this, I'll settle for pedestrian 2-D and be more happy.le0pard13https://www.blogger.com/profile/09421175808461787862noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3724453628120151835.post-25624405461757384472014-05-21T16:26:16.281-05:002014-05-21T16:26:16.281-05:00The only thing this new GODZILLA film has inspired...The only thing this new GODZILLA film has inspired me to do is to watch the original 1954 Japanese film that started it all. And yes, Hollywood hasn't learned a damn thing since 9-11 and continues to take great pleasure in destroying our American cities on film!Eric F.https://www.blogger.com/profile/05062980077091387176noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3724453628120151835.post-72207865852601654252014-05-17T14:06:29.286-05:002014-05-17T14:06:29.286-05:00Not even a flying piece of debris comes out of the...Not even a flying piece of debris comes out of the screen at the audience.
