I watched it for the first time just before the new year. Then I watched it again two days later. Then I went right out and purchased it (first movie I've purchased since last summer). In my humble opinion, this is the best World War II film since 1998, when we were given Steven Spielberg's SAVING PRIVATE RYAN and Terrance Malick's THE THIN RED LINE.
